Log Cabin Move

House & Building Moving

Winslow, IN / February 2008

In the beautiful rural community of Winslow, Indiana, the owners of a 28′ x 37′ log cabin home wanted to move the structure about one quarter of a mile through. Sounds straightforward, until you consider the obstacle that lay in between: an open pit mine! Wolfe House & Building Movers didn’t skip a beat. We raised the log cabin on our unified jacking dolly system and carried it slowly and steadily through the pit mine and to its new location. Since the pit mine was accessed by large, heavy equipment already, the route was sufficient—and their were no power lines to move, either.
