1800s Townhouse in Alexandria, VA, Moved For New Construction

A historic townhouse, built in Alexandria, VA in the 1800s, is gaining a second life as part of a new 5-story hotel. This week Wolfe House & Building Movers moved the solid brick masonry townhouse 150′ to a neighboring lot, where it will sit while a sub-grade parking garage is installed in its former site. When that is completed, Wolfe will move the house into it’s new location, about 20′ sideways from its original location, to be integrated into the hotel as a lounge.
