Crabtree Jones House Moved to Make Way for Apartment Complex

When developers announced their plan to build a 243-unit apartment complex, they made it a priority to preserve the the nearly 220-year-old home. Working with the nonprofit organization, Preservation North Carolina, and Wolfe House and Building Movers, the former plantation house was moved to a new location where it will be studied and eventually renovated.
