Historic Wilkins House in Greenville, SC Relocated for Restoration

The 800-ton Wilkins House was moved 2 blocks along Augusta Street in Greenville, SC. The home was built in 1876 and was in danger of being demolished to make way for an assisted living center.

The developer who bought the home plans to completely restore the building to its original state, and then open it to the public several times a year.
