Orchard Beach State Park Shelter House Relocation

Orchard Beach State Park’s relocation of their limestone shelter house won a Governor’s Award for Historic Preservation this week in Lansing, Michigan. Wolfe moved the 840-ton park structure in late 2020 as part of a conservation effort to preserve the building from the eroding Lake Michigan shoreline.
