Located in the historic district of Charleston, South Carolina, this Italian-inspired home was elevated 8′ by Wolfe House Movers to reduce the risk of flooding and water damage. The 3,900 square foot home is triple brick construction with a frame addition and weighed in at 360 tons. A combination of toe jacks, crib jacks, and two unified jack machines synchronized with the SmartJack™ program were used to complete this lift. The Post & Courier reports that the South Carolina coastline, including the City of Charleston, flooded a record 89 times in 2019, beating the previous record of 58 flooding events in 2015 (read more on this here).
