Wolfe relocated the historic Cox House for Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, to create room for the expansion of the highway running in front of it.  The house was built in 1790 and owned during the early 1800s by Quakers John and Hannah Cox, who used it as a stop in the Underground Railroad to help escaping slaves on their way to Canada. Before its relocation, the house stood only 8′ from the highway; Wolfe lifted the 2½-story brick house with its chimneys and fireplaces, placed it on Buckingham dollies, and moved it straight back on the property 100′.
