The 121-year-old Leeper-Wyatt building in Charlotte’s South End operated as a community grocery store for several decades. Plans for a luxury high-rise development on its existing location spurred a local couple to rescue it from demolition. Wolfe moved the 2-story, double-brick building down the street to an empty lot two blocks from its original location.
