Pennsylvania Turnpike Bridge Construction

Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) recently took place in Allentown, PA with Wolfe House Movers being a key part of a new Pennsylvania Turnpike Bridge Transported piece by piece. ABC is a process where contractors work around the clock over a 55-hour period to complete the construction of a new bridge that would otherwise take 6 months. This keeps traffic congestion to a minimum and completes the project extremely quickly. The new bridge sections weighed 182,000 lbs each, and the 4 new pieces were moved into place for a crane to pick them up after the existing bridge was disassembled and transported away. All of this was made possible by the Buckingham Hydraulic Dolly System which can be seen in the above photo. Check out this project complete with photos and video by clicking HERE.
