In July 2025, Wolfe House Movers completed a commercial roof lift in Afton, Texas, working with the client’s accelerated schedule to complete the project within a short timeframe.
The client required an additional 2’4″ of clearance in a 120′ x 1,050′ steel frame warehouse. Wolfe engineered a lift plan using jacking towers and unified jacking machines to lift the building’s roof and supporting columns in three 350-foot sections. Wolfe’s crew installed and braced 30 jacking towers around the perimeter of the building and extended the jacking towers 3′ to safely lift the roof and columns, supporting the building at the new elevation while stub columns were installed beneath the existing columns. When column installation was complete, Wolfe lowered the building onto the stub columns to its new permanent height of 2′ 4″ above its previous elevation.
The project moved quickly and smoothly with no surprises along the way. Through combining solid planning, expert equipment, and an experienced crew, Wolfe provided the lifting and support to give the building the required headroom within the client’s projected timeline.
