Re: Forty-Fort Meeting House

Dear Mark,

We are writing to thank you for all of your help and for the superb job Wolfe House & Building Movers performed at the Forty-Fort Meeting House.

Founded in 1807, the Meeting House is the oldest church building in Northeastern, Pennsylvania. When faced with the prospect of replacing the crumbling stone foundation walls supporting the building over a shallow crawlspace, the building committee was at something of a loss as to how to proceed. Wolfe House & Building Movers were extremely helpful in planning the replacement and assembled a most professional team of contractors to complete the entire project. Their work included the excavation and support of the building, construction of the new reinforced foundation and the installation of the new stone veneer, backfill and site grading.

The work was undertaken in a professional and expeditious manner, and was timed for completion well in advance of the celebration of the building’s Bicentennial in September 2007.

Photos of the process are available to be viewed online at:

I would certainly be happy to provide a reference regarding Wolfe’s very competent work at the Meeting House.

Sincerely,
