The long-awaited restoration of the historic Roslyn gristmill is finally underway. Once the restoration process is complete, the gristmill will function as an educational center focusing on the history of Roslyn, NY. The gristmill has served a variety of functions over the centuries, from being a water-powered mill supplying grain to farmers to the local tea house. The gristmill was even visited by George Washington several times and described in his journal. Wolfe House Movers lifted the gristmill 5′ above its original elevation while the foundation was replaced.
